Before we start thinking about what job you want, we need to zoom out and ask a bigger question: What kind of life do you want your work to support?

It's easy to get caught comparing job titles, salaries, and job descriptions, but if we don't know what we're aiming for, it's impossible to know whether a role is actually a good fit.

This week is about getting clear on what matters most to you, what you want more of in your life, and the values that will help guide your career decisions moving forward.

By the end of this week, you'll have a much clearer picture of the life you're trying to build and a compass to help you make decisions that feel right for you.

When you've been in the same role or industry for a long time, it's easy to forget that you're more than your job title.

This week is about reconnecting with the person behind the role. We'll explore your strengths, what naturally energises you, the qualities that make you you, and the unique value you bring wherever you go.

The more clearly you understand yourself, the easier it becomes to recognise opportunities that genuinely fit.

Now it's time to bring everything together.

Over the past three weeks, you've uncovered what isn't working, what you need from work, the kind of life you want to build, and the strengths you bring.

This week, the goal is to explore potential career opportunities. It’s not to find the perfect answer or commit to one path. It's simply to get curious, widen your perspective, and start recognising that you have more options than you might think.

By the end of this week, you'll have a shortlist of career possibilities to explore further.

What's my next best step?

Now that you've identified a few career possibilities, it's time to start testing them.

This week is all about taking action. Instead of trying to figure everything out in your head, you'll learn how to gather real information through small experiments, reflect on what you've learned, and use that evidence to make your next decision.

This is the career decision-making framework I use myself and with my coaching clients. Rather than waiting until you feel 100% certain, you'll learn how to test, learn, and adjust as you go.

By the end of this week, you'll have taken meaningful action towards a career that feels more aligned, and you'll have a repeatable process you can use whenever you're faced with a career decision.
